New Photography Book about Reykjanes

Reykjanes II is a stunning new photography book created in collaboration between the Reykjanes UNESCO Global Geopark, Visit Reykjanes and photographer Þráinn Kolbeinsson. The book features images of recent volcanic eruptions alongside new photographs showcasing the dramatic natural beauty of the Reykjanes Peninsula. Special emphasis is placed on the peaks of Reykjanes, with particular attention given to the lesser-known highlands of the region.

Additionally, Reykjanes I, produced by the same team, has also been re-released. This second edition captures the beauty of Reykjanes while also educating readers. Originally published in 2021, the updated version comes with a refreshed cover and minor changes. The books depict a unique blend of community and nature unlike any other. All photographs are taken by Þráinn Kolbeinsson.

Both books are now available for purchase online at the Reykjanes Geopark website (reykjanesgeopark.is) and will soon be available in Penninn bookstores. The books are published in English and come in hardcover.
