Due to maintenance, the road will be closed in the morning of the 13th of July between 00:00 and 06:00 (am).

Due to maintenance, the road administration has to close the road near Krýsuvík (road no. 42). The closure will start around midnight and go on until the morning (00:00 to 06:00). All updates can be found on www.road.is 

This can affect everyone visiting the eruption site and are thinking of driving road no. 42 (Krýsuvíkurveg) from Reykjavik to parking 2 at the eruption site.
