New Year's Eve Bonfires
Celebrate the new year like a local and enjoy some of the new year's eve bonfire celebrations in Reykjanes Peninsula.

Bonfire
On new year's eve Icelanders light up the sky with fireworks but we also light bonfires and celebrate around the bonfire to welcome the new year. Four bonfire celebrations will take place in the Reykjanes Peninsula on new year's eve, the 31st of December.
In Grindavík the bonfire will be at Bót, just outside Grindavík (see on a map). The bonfire will be lit at 20:30.
In Garður the bonfire will be next to the football stadium (see on a map). The bonfire will be lit at 20:30.

A firework show will then start at 21:00 at the same location.
In Sandgerði the bonfire will start at 20:00 at Sjávarbraut (see on a map).
In Vogar the bonfire will be north of the football stadium (see on a map). The bonfire will be lit at 20:00.
