It is not commonly known but in Iceland we celebrate Christmas on the eve of December 24th. We start eating at home at around 6pm and after the meal and deserts we gather around to open the presents underneath the Christmas tree. Very few people are about and most of the shops, restaurants and museums are closed.

So to make sure you have a great time in the Reykjanes Peninsula in Iceland we have put a small list of opening hours together for you. Now this is not a complete list of all the establishments in Reykjanes Peninsula so if you are not sure weather your the restaurant or museum you want to visit is open, try checking their website or giving them a call.
