Exciting improvements underway at Blue Lagoon and Silica Hotel

The Blue Lagoon and Silica Hotel are currently enhancing their facilities to elevate customer experience. This includes upgrades to their changing rooms, the outdoor lagoon area, welcome house and Silica Hotel. Their goal is to enhance, refine, and improve the site for the benefit of guests, ensuring their visit is the best it can be. These improvements are scheduled in stages to minimize inconvenience - with some having already been completed.

The first phase of the Silica renovations is already complete, with all rooms having been renovated with updated lighting, thoughtful design, new furniture, and decor, there is also now the option of adding a third bed. In the words of Silica Hotel: "These updates are just the beginning".

Below is a list of some exciting updates coming to the Blue Lagoon and Silica Hotel throughout the year:

Changing rooms

  • Additional showers and enhanced shower facilities

  • Increased number of lockers with larger sizes

  • Improved lighting

  • Introduction of gender-inclusive locker rooms

  • Updated decor and amenities

Outdoor lagoon area

  • Addition of a new sauna

  • Installation of a new steam cave

  • Introduction of a new cold plunge

  • Two new massage waterfalls added

  • Updated walking path bridges

Silica Hotel

  • Completed: Room upgrades including lighting, decor, furniture, and the option for a third bed

  • Introduction of a new yoga room

  • Addition of a new sauna

  • Installation of a new steam bath

  • Introduction of a new cold plunge

  • Renovations to locker rooms and shower facilities

  • Enhancements to the fitness center, Day Clinic, and watch room
