Monday, December 18th, just after 10 pm an eruption started north of Grindavik

Sites open in Reykjanes

All roads leading towards Grindavik are still closed. However, most of the natural highlights are open to visitors.
All routes to Grindavík (43, 427 and 425) are closed.
